Throughout the month of September, the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative is celebrating Hispanic heritage and culture with its 2019 Bookmark and Poster Contests.
Students between grades K-5 are encouraged to get creative and submit an original piece of artwork to be made into a bookmark. The library also invites students in grades 6-12 to submit their creative masterpieces for their Poster Contest.
Two winners from each contest will be chosen between different grades. For the Bookmark Contest, one winner will come from grades K-2 and one from 3-5. For the Poster Contest, one winner will be selected from grades 6-8 and another from grades 9-12.
Entries may be submitted between the 1st and 30th of September. Students must also fill out a form to turn in with their artwork.
This contest is open to all students from any public school. Entries should reflect aspects of Hispanic heritage and culture, from food to music to venues and destinations representative of Hispanic countries.
Visit the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative website to read about further rules and information, and how to submit your winning entry.
